the door test
Tonight I was reminded of the door test in "A Bronx Tale". When I was in high school, boys considered this gospel and any girl who failed would surely hear about it. Now all but obsolete in a world of keyless entry, the philosophy behind the test holds up: be good to each other. Although it doesn't matter who's driving, it really is the little things.

simplicity
I was lucky enough to be asked to be the maid of honor in a dear friend's wedding last weekend. The tender honesty of The Beatles served as the inspiration for my toast to the lovely couple.

welcome
Mix tapes. In middle school and high school, there was no greater way to capture all the emotions you couldn’t quite put into your own words. They were painstakingly compiled and carefully chosen collections. Welcome to my mix tape: a playlist of inspirations, thoughts and curiousities both big and small.
